Banana Split Iconic Wheat Dry Yeast (11g / 22L)

Banana Split Iconic Wheat Dry Yeast (11g / 22L) | WHC Labs

€4,00

Banana Split is an expressive Hefeweizen-style wheat yeast designed to deliver the unmistakable banana-forward character found in classic German wheat beers. Derived from the renowned Weihenstephan lineage, this strain has been selected for flavour intensity without the risks associated with diastatic yeasts.

Each sachet contains 11 grams, suitable for fermenting approximately 22 litres of wort. Banana Split produces high levels of isoamyl acetate, the compound responsible for its signature banana aroma, balanced by subtle undertones of apple, clove, and plum. The result is a complex but highly drinkable wheat beer with classic fruity and spicy aromatics.

Fermentation temperature plays a key role in flavour expression by raising temperatures will push banana esters further forward, while cooler fermentations offer a more restrained, balanced profile. Despite its expressive nature, Banana Split remains easy to work with and poses no diastatic risk to brewhouse operations.

Oxygenation and/or rehydration for the first generation may be beneficial but is not strictly required.

Where are your manufactured?

As an Irish Company we take pride in supporting Irish manufacturing businesses. Unfortunately we can't get everything made in Ireland so we work on an As Local As Possible principle. This means we get everything from as close to Sligo, Ireland as possible. Sometimes this is Poland or England or France or Scotland. You can always find the country of manufacture in the product description.

When will I get my order?

We dispatch all our orders within 2 days. Our parcels are shipped with tracking by An Post or DPD. Once handed over delivery usually take 2-3 days.

Can I return my order?

We do accept returns with full refunds once the product is undamaged. If the products are damaged in return transit you will be refunded the purchase amount minus the cost of damaged goods.

How much does shipping cost?

Our Standard Tracked Shipping in Ireland is €6 or free on orders over €75 but smaller items (i.e. yeast packets, bubblers, syphon tubes) qualify as "small orders" and are €2.95 to ship or free over €30
