Usage Tips
- A good fruit mash is essential for producing high-quality juice, cider and wine.
- Apples, pears and other firm fruits should be cut into quarters or smaller pieces before crushing.
- Grapes, berries and other soft fruits can normally be crushed directly.
- Process only healthy, ripe fruit for the best flavour and juice quality.
- Discard fruit that is mouldy, rotten or badly damaged.
- Wash fruit thoroughly before crushing to prevent dirt entering the mash.
- For maximum juice extraction, use the prepared fruit mash with a manual fruit press or hydropress.
Cleaning & Storage
- Rinse thoroughly with clean potable water immediately after use.
- Dry all components completely before storing to help prevent rust.
- Do not use acid-based sanitisers on the crusher.
- For stubborn stains, clean using hot water and sodium percarbonate (such as StellarOxy), then rinse thoroughly.
- Always store the crusher in a dry location.
