Centennial Hop Pellets 100g

Centennial Hop Pellets 100g

€8,30

Centennial is a classic American dual-purpose hop introduced commercially in 1990. Often described as a classic American citrus hop, it combines bright citrus and floral character with enough alpha acids to provide useful bitterness.

Its clean, vibrant profile makes it particularly popular in American-style ales, where it can be used for both bittering and late additions. It also works well in wheat beers when a noticeable citrus and floral character is desired.

Similar & Substitute Hops

Centennial can be replaced or complemented by other citrus-forward American hops, including:

  • Cascade – classic grapefruit, citrus and floral character
  • Amarillo – sweet orange and citrus with floral notes
  • Chinook – stronger pine and spice alongside citrus character
  • Citra – more intense tropical and citrus fruit character

Beer Styles

Centennial works particularly well in:

  • American Pale Ale
  • IPA
  • American Amber Ale
  • American Wheat Beer
  • Pale Ale
  • Session IPA
  • Blonde Ale

It can be used throughout the brewing process, from bittering additions through to late-boil, whirlpool and dry-hop additions, with later additions emphasising its citrus and floral character.
