Citra Hop Pellets 100g

Citra Hop Pellets 100g

€10,15

Citra® is a hugely popular American dual-purpose hop known for its bold citrus and tropical fruit character. Developed from a complex breeding programme involving Hallertau Mittelfrüh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Goldings, Bavarian and Brewers Gold, Citra® has become a staple of modern American craft brewing.

Its high alpha acid content makes it useful for bittering, while its intense aroma and flavour make it particularly effective in late additions, whirlpool additions and dry hopping. Citra® is especially popular in hop-forward beers where its vibrant citrus and fruit character can take centre stage.

Similar & Substitute Hops

Citra® can be replaced or complemented by other modern American and New World hops with strong citrus and tropical characteristics, including:

  • Mosaic – tropical fruit, citrus, berry and stone fruit
  • Amarillo – sweet orange, citrus and floral character
  • Galaxy® – intense citrus, peach and passion fruit
  • Centennial – classic grapefruit, citrus and floral character

Beer Styles

Citra® works particularly well in:

  • American Pale Ale
  • IPA
  • NEIPA
  • Double IPA
  • Session IPA
  • American Wheat Beer
  • Hazy Pale Ale
  • Fruit-forward Ales

It is particularly effective as a late-boil, whirlpool or dry-hop addition, where its strong citrus and tropical fruit character can be fully expressed.

You can always find the country of manufacture in the product description.

We dispatch all our orders within 2 days. Our parcels are shipped with tracking by An Post or DPD. Once handed over delivery usually take 2-3 days.

Can I return my order?

We do accept returns with full refunds once the product is undamaged. If the products are damaged in return transit you will be refunded the purchase amount minus the cost of damaged goods.

How much does shipping cost?

Our Standard Tracked Shipping in Ireland is €7 or free on orders over €75 but smaller items (i.e. yeast packets, bubblers, syphon tubes) qualify as "small orders" and are €3.95 to ship or free over €30
