Target Hop Pellets 100g

Target Hop Pellets 100g

€4,95

Target is an English high-alpha hop offering strong bittering potential at a competitive price. Originally developed as a dual-purpose variety, it can be used primarily for bittering while also contributing a subtle hop character to the finished beer.

With its relatively high alpha acid content, Target is an economical choice when you need to achieve a good level of bitterness without using large quantities of hops. It works particularly well in traditional British ales and darker beer styles, where its bitterness can complement rich malt flavours.

Similar & Substitute Hops

Target can be replaced or complemented by other high-alpha and traditional English hop varieties, including:

  • Challenger – versatile English hop with good bittering properties
  • Northdown – traditional English variety with strong bittering potential
  • Admiral – high-alpha English hop suited to efficient bittering
  • Brewer's Gold – versatile high-alpha alternative

Beer Styles

Target is particularly well suited to:

  • Pale Ale
  • Scotch Ale
  • Porter
  • Stout
  • English Bitter
  • British Ale

Its high alpha acid content also makes it useful for efficient bittering additions, helping achieve the required IBU level with less hop material.
