Willamette Hop Pellets 100g

Willamette Hop Pellets 100g

€7,60

Willamette is a classic American aroma hop known for its mild, pleasant and subtly spicy character. It delivers a gentle floral aroma with earthy and slightly herbal notes, making it an excellent choice when you want hop character without overwhelming the malt profile.

Developed in the USA as an American alternative to traditional British varieties, Willamette is particularly well suited to classic ales, lagers and wheat beers. It is closely associated with the Fuggles hop family and makes a good alternative when a softer, more traditional hop character is desired.

Similar & Substitute Hops

Fuggles is the closest and most obvious comparison, with a similar earthy, floral and mildly spicy character.

Other potential alternatives include:

  • East Kent Goldings (EKG) – floral, earthy and gently spicy
  • Styrian Goldings – softer floral and herbal character
  • Tettnang – mild floral, herbal and spicy notes
  • Columbus – a much more intense alternative with stronger earthy and spicy character

Beer Styles

Willamette is a versatile aroma hop that works particularly well in:

  • Kölsch
  • Altbier
  • Pilsner
  • Blonde Ale
  • Pale Ale
  • Porter
  • Stout
  • Saison
  • Scotch Ale
  • Weizen & Wheat Beer

It is particularly well suited to traditional and malt-forward beers, where its gentle floral and earthy character can complement rather than dominate the beer.

You can always find the country of manufacture in the product description.
