El Dorado Hop Pellets 100g

El Dorado Hop Pellets 100g

€7,35

El Dorado is a modern American dual-purpose hop with a high alpha acid content and a distinctive fruit-forward character. Unlike many classic American hops, El Dorado is not dominated by citrus. Instead, it is known for tropical fruit, pear and watermelon notes, giving beers a juicy and refreshing character.

Its high alpha acids make it an efficient bittering hop, while late additions can bring out its prominent fruity character. It is particularly well suited to modern Pale Ales and other fruit-forward American beers.

Similar & Substitute Hops

El Dorado can be replaced or complemented by other fruity and tropical hop varieties, including:

  • Azacca – tropical fruit, mango and citrus character
  • Cashmere – melon, tropical fruit and soft citrus notes
  • Mosaic – complex tropical, stone fruit and berry character
  • Idaho 7® – tropical and stone fruit with additional pine and resin

Beer Styles

El Dorado works particularly well in:

  • American Pale Ale
  • Pale Ale
  • Blonde Ale
  • IPA
  • Session IPA
  • Fruit-forward American Ales
  • Wheat Beer

It is particularly effective in late-boil, whirlpool and dry-hop additions, where its distinctive tropical fruit, pear and watermelon character can shine.
