Saaz Hop Pellets 100g

Saaz Hop Pellets 100g

€5,80

Saaz is one of the world's most renowned noble aroma hops, originating from the Czech Republic and traditionally associated with the classic Pilsner style. It is prized for its delicate, mild spicy character and subtle, refined aroma, along with a smooth and clean bitterness.

As the signature hop of traditional Czech Pilsner, Saaz is an excellent choice when you want a classic European hop character without overpowering the malt. Its elegant profile also makes it highly versatile across a range of lagers and traditional ales.

Similar & Substitute Hops

Saaz can be replaced or complemented by other noble and European aroma hops, including:

  • Czech Saaz – the closest match when maintaining the traditional profile
  • Tettnang – delicate floral, herbal and mildly spicy character
  • Spalt – refined herbal and spicy noble hop character
  • Hallertau Mittelfrüh – soft floral, herbal and slightly spicy notes

Beer Styles

Saaz works particularly well in:

  • Pilsner
  • Czech Pilsner
  • Kölsch
  • Altbier
  • Weizen
  • Wheat Beer
  • Czech Lager
  • Pale Lager
  • Belgian-style Ales

It is particularly effective as a late-boil or aroma addition, where its delicate spicy and herbal character can shine. It can also be used for bittering when a softer, more refined bitterness is desired.

You can always find the country of manufacture in the product description.

We dispatch all our orders within 2 days. Our parcels are shipped with tracking by An Post or DPD. Once handed over delivery usually take 2-3 days.

Can I return my order?

We do accept returns with full refunds once the product is undamaged. If the products are damaged in return transit you will be refunded the purchase amount minus the cost of damaged goods.

How much does shipping cost?

Our Standard Tracked Shipping in Ireland is €7 or free on orders over €75 but smaller items (i.e. yeast packets, bubblers, syphon tubes) qualify as "small orders" and are €3.95 to ship or free over €30
