Vinoferm Kieselsol Clarifier 100ml

€9,00

Vinoferm Kieselsol is a liquid silica based clarifying agent used for clearing wine, juice, and other fermented beverages. It is particularly effective when used alongside liquid gelatine, helping achieve fast and efficient clarification with minimal sediment.

Kieselsol works by binding with proteins and haze forming particles, allowing them to settle out quickly and leave your wine or juice clearer and more stable.

For best results, kieselsol is typically used in combination with gelatine, added separately to the liquid.

How It Works

Kieselsol carries a negative charge that binds with positively charged particles in the liquid. When followed by gelatine, the combination forms larger particles that settle rapidly, resulting in clear wine with reduced haze.

Usage

  • Dosage: 2.5 to 5 ml per 10 litres
  • Add kieselsol and gelatine separately
  • Allow time for sediment to settle before racking

Choosing the Right Fining Agent

Different wines and juices may respond differently to fining agents. A simple method is to test small samples:

  • Take several samples of the liquid
  • Add different fining agents to each
  • Allow them to settle for a few hours
  • Compare results to determine the most effective option

This approach helps achieve the best clarity for your specific batch.

Ideal For

  • Wine clarification
  • Juice clarification
  • Removing haze and proteins
  • Improving clarity before bottling

Where are your products manufactured?

As an Irish Company we take pride in supporting Irish manufacturing businesses. Unfortunately we can't get everything made in Ireland so we work on an As Local As Possible principle. This means we get everything from as close to Sligo, Ireland as possible. Sometimes this is Poland or England or France or Scotland. You can always find the country of manufacture in the product description.

When will I get my order?

We dispatch all our orders within 2 days. Our parcels are shipped with tracking by An Post or DPD. Once handed over delivery usually take 2-3 days.

Can I return my order?

We do accept returns with full refunds once the product is undamaged. If the products are damaged in return transit you will be refunded the purchase amount minus the cost of damaged goods.

How much does shipping cost?

Our Standard Tracked Shipping in Ireland is €7 or free on orders over €75 but smaller items (i.e. yeast packets, bubblers, syphon tubes) qualify as "small orders" and are €3.95 to ship or free over €30
